One of the advantages of doing a private multi-day tour instead of a whistle-stop group tour is that we actually have time to get off the beaten path.

The big coaches are usually stuck to the same few viewpoints and gift shops every day. On a private tour with Dirty Daves we can take the smaller roads, stop at the places most visitors never see, and adjust the route based on what's interesting on the day.

Over 3, 5, or 7 days we have breathing room. We can chase better light for photos, take a detour to a quiet glen, or pull over at a spot Dave knows because the view is better than the official one. We're not racing to tick boxes on someone else's itinerary.

A lot of clients tell us this is what made the difference. They'd done the main highlights before, but on a private multi-day tour they got to see the bits of Scotland that actually stuck in their memory — the places that don't have a car park and a visitor centre.
